Time's Memories

In the beginning,
you told me what was up.

I respected your wishes,
was not looking for any love.

As time slowly started to pass,
different emotions I began to feel.

Familiar happiness and known caution,
they were all so real.

Showing courageous outer appearance is important,
but having inner strength is a must.

These days it's hard to find people to believe,
ever harder to find those you can trust.

They say nothing lasts forever,
I hate on occasions it's true.

Time doesn't heal all wounds
it won't take away the memories of you.

My life is filled with bitter uncertainties,
The cause of my pain

It's hard to find
one's that are real

When most of your life
you've gotten the back side of every deal

To go through life so aimlessly
is a feeling quite unknown

I search for words, to take such harsh emotions away
that I will no longer have to feel so alone
